NU6.2 is the ninth major network upgrade for Zcash. It was an emergency protocol update (Zebra version 5.0.0) that successfully activated at block 3,364,600 on June 3, 2026. It permanently patched a critical vulnerability in the Orchard zero-knowledge proof circuit while restoring full shielded functionality.
No performance improvements were included in this release.
Users should update to the latest versions of their Zcash apps and software.
